# Emmanuel, étude d’après modèle

> J’avais hésité à faire un portrait du modèle centré sur son visage, mais j’ai beaucoup aimé son attitude générale. Après une mise en place au fusain, j’ai utilisé la palette de Zorn (palette des classiques) pour cette toile : noir d’ivoire, carmin d’alizarine, rouge de cadmium clair, ocre jaune, blanc. Complété d’un bleu de cobalt pour la teinte si spécifique du jean.

### Study after model. Huile sur toile de lin, 61 × 50 cm, 2023

> I had hesitated to paint a portrait of the model focusing on his face, but I really liked his overall attitude. After sketching with charcoal, I used Zorn’s palette (the classic palette) for this canvas: ivory black, alizarin crimson, light cadmium red, yellow ochre, white. I added cobalt blue for the specific tints of the jeans.
